Obama’s Tax Rate Reduction Calculator

Thought I’d share this since some people are curious to see if they’re going to save with Obama or McCain’s tax policy. I save about $500, so Obama’s tax plan helps me……for now. If I make over $200k next year, it maybe a different story, but I seriously doubt that will happen.

U.K. Injects $64 billion into 3 banks

U.K. is partially nationalizing 3 banks in Britain.

• $34 billion to RBS (Royal Bank of Scotland)
• $30 billion to Lloyds-TSB and HBOS (where merger negotiations are taking place)
• 60% of RBS and 40% of Lloyds-TSB and HBOS will be tax payer owned
• top execs were asked to leave their positions
• other European nations are assumed to be following within the next few days
